Permit me now to continue to prophesy somewhat more concerning the Jews and the Gentiles. After the book of which I spoke about earlier comes forth, and is written to the Gentiles, it will be sealed up again to the Lord. There will be many who will believe the words which are written; and they will carry the teachings of the book to the remnant of our seed.
And then the remnant of our seed will know about us. They will know how we came out from Jerusalem, and that they are descendants of the Jews. And the gospel of Jesus Christ will be declared among them. Of the many promises the Lord has made to me and my people, this is one of the sweetest, to know that my posterity will be restored to the knowledge of their fathers, and also to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, which knowledge we have. And then will they rejoice; for they will know that it is a blessing given to them from the hand of God; and the scales of darkness will begin to fall from their eyes; and it won’t be very many generations until they become pure and a delightsome people. I praise my Lord for Him giving me this assurance.
This promise is not just to my father’s posterity. Though we lived among the Jews, if you remember, my father Lehi is a descendant of Israel through the lineage of Joseph. Yet, the descendants of the Jews which are scattered will also begin to believe in Christ; and they will begin to gather in upon the face of the land; and as many of them who will believe in Christ will also become a delightsome people.
In fact, the Lord God will commence His work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of all His people upon the earth. With righteousness will the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
The time will soon come that the Lord God will cause a great division among the people, and He will spare His people and He will destroy the wicked even if He has to destroy the wicked by fire.
This future time will be a beautiful time in the history of the world. Let me quote from the scriptures as the Lord describes it through His prophets.
“And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His reins. And then shall the wolf dwell with the lamb; and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling, together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Wherefore, the things of all nations shall be made known; yea, all things shall be made known unto the children of men. There is nothing which is secret save it shall be revealed; there is no work of darkness save it shall be made manifest in the light; and there is nothing which is sealed upon the earth save it shall be loosed.”
How fortunate are those of you, who, in those future days get to live in those times. I am told that all things which have been revealed unto the children of men shall at that day be revealed; and Satan shall have power over the hearts of the children of men no more, for a long time. Though we consider ourselves very blessed to have the revelations and the scriptures as contained on the plates of brass and to have been brought to this promised land, consider the great blessing it will be for you to live in those last days when Satan himself will have no more power over the hearts of man.
