Post by Jeremiah –
I find comfort in your righteousness Nephi and in that of your father. I have been in prison for much time since my betrayal by the hands of priests. At times I feel as though I will give up. I tell myself that I will no longer mention the name of the Lord – but then I cannot forbear. Or sometimes I curse the day I was born. I think it would have been better had I been killed in the womb, that I might have rested with my mother as my grave. But the word of the Lord burns within me, and I feel to sing praises to His name.
If I suffer death in this prison, remember Nephi, I know that the Lord Jehovah is my redeemer, the fountain of living waters . I know He is the hope of Israel. Although man refuses to obey , He exercises lovingkindess, justice and righteousness on the earth. I will forever sing praises to Him for He will save his people, the remnant of Israel.
If I never see you again in this life, may we meet in the presence of Jehovah.
