Post By King Mosiah of the Nephites

When our people arrived in the land of Zarahemla, we found more than just a new home—we found a history long forgotten, hidden in the remnants of an ancient civilization. Among the many wonders we encountered, a great stone, engraved with writings none could understand. The people of Zarahemla brought it before me, hoping I could translate.
Through the gift and power of God, I was able to translate the engravings upon the stone. What I read was a sobering account of a people who had once flourished in this land—the Jaredites. They also came across the great waters, guided by the Lord, but their history was one of both great prosperity and great destruction. The stone told of their final struggles, of war, pride, and the ultimate downfall of their civilization.
This record was not just a story of the past; it was a warning for us in the present. It was a testament to the consequences of turning away from God and allowing contention and wickedness to rule our hearts. Their civilization had been mighty, yet it had crumbled to dust because of their iniquity.
As I pondered the words on that stone, I knew that this knowledge must not be forgotten. We must learn from the mistakes of those who came before us. If we remain faithful to God and strive for peace among our people, we will prosper in this land. But if we fall into pride and contention, we too could be lost to history, as the Jaredites were.
May we always remember that the past speaks to us—not only to tell us where we have come from but to guide us toward a righteous future.
