Post by Nephi –
I appreciate the writings of my brother Jacob. Who would have thought my little baby brother, born in the wilderness, could grow up so firm in his testimony of our Savior. In fact Jacob has seen our Savior. Now I am going to write more of the writings of Isaiah because my soul delights in his words, for he saw my Redeemer even as I have seen Him. I do plan on likening Isaiah’s words to you so you can understand them.
So you are reading the words of three people that have seen our Redeemer and I include all three of our writings in these posts so you may know they are true. Wherefore, by the words of three, God has said, “I will establish my word.” Nevertheless, God sends more witnesses, and He proves all his words.
It pleases my soul to prove to you, the truth of the coming of Christ; this was the very reason the law of Moses was given; and all things which have been given of God from the beginning of the world, unto man, are the typifying of Christ.
My soul delights in the covenants of the Lord which He made to our fathers; My soul delights in His grace, and in His justice, and power, and mercy in the great and eternal plan of deliverance from death. Therefore, my soul delights in proving to my people that unless Christ comes all men will perish.
For if there be no Christ there be no God; and if there be no God we are not, for there could have been no creation. But there is a God, and He is Christ, and He comes in the fulness of His own time.
So now I write some of the words of Isaiah, that whoso of my people will read these words may lift up their hearts and rejoice for all men. So the next few posts you will read some of Isaiah’s writings and I hope you may relate them to you and to all men.
