Here is a question. How do you speak hard things to wicked people and expect them to enjoy it. I declared the truth to my brothers and being guilty, they took it pretty hard. They said it was so hard they couldn’t take it. The truth justifies the righteous but cuts the wicked to the very center.
If they were righteous and were willing to obey the truth and walk uprightly before God, the truth wouldn’t be so hard for them. All of us are getting weary of my exhorting my brothers to keep the commandments. As of right now however they seem to have humbled themselves before the Lord, enough so that I confess I have great hope for them, that they might actually walk in the path of righteousness.
We are still out here in the wilderness living in tents in the valley my father calls Lemuel. Now after all is said and done and I won’t go into the details but I am now happily married to one of Ishmael’s daughters. Zoram married Ishmael’s oldest daughter and Laman, Lemuel and Sam all married as well. Right now, our trip to pick up Ishmael’s family seems to have been the right thing to do according to just about everyone. My father feels pretty good about having fulfilled the commandment of the Lord and we really are quite blessed.
