Post by Nephi –
The written word and my capacity with written words already put this post in jeopardy. What I want to stress is the pure joy there is in doing something exactly as the Lord directs. There is no surprise here. I look around and see Gods fantastic craftsmanship in this world He created for us. Should I call it craftsgodship or is that sacrilegious? Anyway, my brothers joined in and we began building the ship. We are somewhat experienced with working timbers, but the way the Lord directed was totally new. I use the word curious workmanship, because it was so genius and unlike anything we had been exposed to before. Not that we had built that many ships but what else should we expect when the Lord showed us how we should work these timbers.
This was nothing like the way men had learned to build. We built this ship according to the Lords direction. As I mentioned, my vocabulary is insufficient to describe it. From time to time I went up to the mountain to pray and He showed me great things. I guess all I can say is that if we follow His direction explicitly and pray often enough, we can all be tutored by the Lord. I don’t think I am the only one He does that with. And one more thing, if we are open enough we may learn something new, something Godly, something so special it will change our lives, or should I say, the Lord will shape our lives with curious workmanship.
Well, enough of that. We finished the ship just as the Lord had directed us. Even my brothers recognized how exceedingly fine the workmanship was. We all humbled ourselves again before the Lord.
