After I finished sharing several prophesies about my posterity with my family, the Lord spoke to me once more. He told me that it was not right for me to take my family into the wilderness alone and that it would be wrong for my sons to be without wives. He made it clear that if my sons were to be married they could raise families to the Lord in the land of promise. He therefore commanded me to send my sons back to Jerusalem to bring Ishmael and his family into the wilderness with us.
Who would have guessed Laman and Lemuel to be so willing to keep this commandment. Off they went back to Jerusalem.
Sariah and I are comforted knowing that it is the Lord that selected Ishmael’s family to join with ours. Ishmael’s many daughters and his sons will be a great addition to our family. He also being a descendant of Joseph, although from Ephraim, where I am a descendant of Manasseh, fulfills a prophesy of Jacob that we read of in the plates of brass.
