Post by Helem-
King Mosiah selected 16 of us to take this journey into the wilderness in an effort to learn about those who left Zarahemla so many years ago to possess the land of our first inheritance. There are 4 of us that are descendants of Zarahemla, my brother Ammon, who is our leader, my brother Amaleki, my brother Hem and me, Helem. It has fallen upon me to keep a record of this journey. As descendants of Zarahemla, we four are curious as to the draw of this land, after all it was King Mosiah’s grandfather, King Mosiah who fled that land and joined with us in Zarahemla. We have had enough conflict with the Lamanites, we have no desire to stir up contention.
None of us have the slightest idea which course we should be traveling, so we put our trust in Ammon and our faith in the Lord to be guided by Him. We have now been traveling in the wilderness some 40 days and are currently north of the land Shilom and have pitched our tents on a hill overlooking what we believe to be the land of Nephi.
Tomorrow Ammon, Hem, Amaleki and I will be going down into the land of Nephi seeking to discover what may have become of those people of Zeniff.
