This will probably be my last post as I have now given King Benjamin charge of this record. Funny, the thought of me Amaleki, giving a charge to a king? His giving me any kind of respect and receiving this record so graciously is certainly because of my lineage. But if you look very closely at any record of our ancestry – we are all pretty much related, after all, until recently when we’ve started mixing with the people of Zarahemla, we are all descendants of Lehi and Ishmael.
With my last post I wish to My emphasize the real purpose of all of us having kept this record, and that is to exhort all men to come unto God, the Holy One of Israel, and believe in prophesying, and in revelations, and in the ministering of angels, and in the gift of speaking with tongues, and in the gift of interpreting languages, and in all things which are good; for there is nothing which is good that does not come from the Lord; and that which is evil comes from the devil.
And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of His salvation, and the power of His redemption. Please, come unto Him, and offer your whole souls as an offering to Him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord lives you will be saved.
And I am about to lie down in my grave; I have fulfilled my charge to keep this record. And I make an end of my speaking.
