Of all the prophesies and doctrines and exhortations found in these writings, one that stands out and is repeated time and again is the promise of the Lord that He will not suffer His children to prosper in the land if they reject His commandments. This is a promised land and I have witnessed God verifying His word. He spoke clearly to my fathers “Inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall not prosper in the land.”
It has now been some 320 years since the Lord led my fathers out of the land of Jerusalem and I am witness to the more wicked part of my people the Nephites having now been destroyed. The Lord visited them in great judgment. He did however spare the righteous that they were not destroyed. As He has since they left Jerusalem, with His almighty hand, He has kept and preserved and delivered the righteous out of the hands of our enemies.
Though I write so few words in the book of my father, I could not suffer that the Lord’s words should not be verified and with that testimony, I deliver the responsibility of this blog to my brother Chemish.
